I love sharing these recipes from the Miss Arkansas Rice Contest. Each of the girls worked very hard to develop their recipes and present them to the judges. I hope that by sharing them with you, they will live on. I know I’ll be making Brooklyn Devazier’s recipe a lot this fall.
This week’s pinsperation is a random round up. I found an awesome recipe for a stuffed sweet potato, a quick diy project to spruce up some tumblers and a recipe for banana bread dip.
Miss Stephanie Palmerin Sanchez made some of the best Mexican style rice I have ever had. She calls it Excelenté Arroz. Stephanie served her rice dish with another favorite of mine, molé.
I’ve simplified my parents’ recipe and can whip up a big pot of Chicken and Dumplings in close to 30 minutes.The moist, yet fluffy, dumplings, creamy broth, tender chicken and veggies will make any day better.

Bailey Davis was another contestant in the Miss Arkansas Rice contest. I am not a huge fan of curry, but Bailey won me over with this recipe. Twice-Baked Sweet Potatoes and Rustic Sourdough sounds like the characters of a perfect fall meal to me, but I don’t know if I can live without that ice cream machine. I might be eating ice cream well into freezing temperatures.
My parents have a farm and I know my mom is the glue that holds everything together. Hearing from the perspective of the farmer’s wife is always interesting to me.
